a round of cards

A round of cards…

a work in progress, but read on if you’re curious where this is going…

At the 2023 Bridges conference, Barry Cipra showed us a simple game of cards for 2 or more players.

The cards are shuffled and placed face down in a circle. The first player clicks on any card, and it is turned over. The number of the card is then used to count clockwise around the circle, where Aces, Jacks, Queens, and Kings have values 1, 11, 12, and 13, respectively. If the player lands on a card that is face down, they flip it over, and continue, repeating this process until they land on a card that is face up.
